Re: Brother In Law at Having Breakfast in Yuma Overhears The Following Conversation. USGS BOOM!
i wish we had a comprehensive map of volcanic tunnels. i'd really like to see how those are interconnected beneath earth's surface and seas.

my friend's daughter had a dream recently that the 'dragon cone was the key, 'they' know this...'

so my friend and i did a bunch of googling and found dragon cone, sure enough it is a volcano in canada that is dormant but they really don't know for sure if it is or what goes on because there are no monitoring devices in that remote area, you have to fly in to it, it's not even hikable.

all i got intuitively on it was 'craton' and 'yellowstone.' trigger point?

Yet more completely baseless fear mongering. Op I am going to bump this thread when nothing happens on December 21. Anyone dumb enough to cancel their travel plans for 2012 BS needs to be removed from the gene pool.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19099851

The OP didn't say anything about 12-21, although he hinted at his wife being worried about such nonsense. He merely related a conversation overhead by someone he knows.

I can easily imagine various researchers and scientists being baffled and concerned about certain phenomenon happening on any day of the year. Look at all the doomtards in science who think carbon dioxide -- or what we breathe out every few seconds -- is polluting the planet and triggering global warming---and would like all of us to pay through the ass to change that.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29759427

My Brother Inlaw hinted to Mr USGS that me and my sister were doomtards and preppers. Mr USGS said we had good reason to be that way and it wasn't a bad thing and that we were probally on the right track as he headed out the door saying him and the Wife were leaving the Area on the Monday and going home.

yes.

Dragon Cone is a monogenetic cinder cone located in Wells Gray Provincial Park in east-central British Columbia. It is the source of a 15 km (9 mi) long lava flow, called Dragon's Tongue. This lava covered the floor of narrow Falls Creek Valley and terminated at the Clearwater River, damming it to a height of 3 m (10 ft) and raising the level of existing Clearwater Lake upstream.

this wiki source says eastern central canada, but i have mapped it and it is north and inland of vancouver.

this one says western canada:

Volcanism_of_Western_Canada

The Wells Gray-Clearwater volcanic field, also called the Clearwater Cone Group,[2] is a potentially active[3] monogenetic volcanic field in east-central British Columbia, Canada, located approximately 130 km (81 mi) north of Kamloops. It is situated in the Cariboo Mountains of the Columbia Mountains and on the Quesnel and Shuswap Highlands. As a monogenetic volcanic field, it is a place with numerous small basaltic volcanoes and extensive lava flows.[4][5]

dragon cone is a part of this area of volcanoes^^^^^

Current activity

The Wells Gray-Clearwater volcanic field is one of the 10 volcanic areas in Canada associated with recent seismic activity; the others are Castle Rock,[10] Mount Edziza,[10] Mount Cayley,[10] Hoodoo Mountain,[10] The Volcano,[10] Crow Lagoon,[10] Mount Meager,[10] Mount Garibaldi[10] and Nazko Cone.[11] Seismic data suggests that these volcanoes still contain living magma plumbing systems, indicating possible future eruptive activity.[12] Although the available data does not allow a clear conclusion, these observations are further indications that some of Canada's volcanoes are potentially active, and that their associated hazards may be significant.[3] Beneath areas of monogenetic cinder cone activity, such as the Wells Gray-Clearwater volcanic field, the seismicity appears to be more dispersed.[3] In a few cases earthquakes are clustered in time and space, suggestive of volcanic earthquake swarms.[3]

Nothing is gonna happen. Talk to all on the 22nd.
 Quoting: ShillsRUs

This has nothing to do with the 21st. It was even on CNN that these Earthquakes were unusall because they happened in the Bedrock and not on a fault line.

If some guy from the USGS is heading home out of the area back to winter in Montana cause he himself is worried then I can understand why others should worry too.

For my Brother InLaw to turn tuck tail and come home also is enough convincing for me that somthing is underfoot.

Think what you want. My Brother Inlaw does not believe in any of this shit at all. He started to pay attention to the conversation because the guy seemed extremely well informed and knowledgeable about the topic. If my sister wasn't a little nutty about all this it might have gone over his head. Mr Brother Inlaw is extremely intelligent himself. He introduced himself to the guy and had a conversation with him after the fact and appolgized for having evesdropped.

This wasn't a bunch of guys sitting around farting in a chili joint. It was in an upscale restaurant. He said the guy was genuine.

I haven't heard the whole conversation that took place but it was obviously enough to get my Brother Inlaw to head home himself. You you knew him then you would understand why this is not to be taken lightly. He would not leave his winter retreat and go home to -20 for no apparent reason based on some passing conversation if he did not think it had some merit.

The USGS guy also Winters in Yuma and he did say that he himself and wife are heading home to Montana. They were leaving the area on Monday. Getting away from the coast and that area.

My Brother in Law has decided to do the same thing. He's also heading back home for Alberta Monday also. He phoned my sister and said if that guy doesn't feel safe and is leaving so is he. Remember that he does not believe in this shit so he must of gotten his cage just a little rattled.

Montana, Alberta, and Saskatchewan are the promised lands...clean air, clean water, tons of natural resources, good soil, not on a fault line, the climate's a little on the cool side, amazing 18+hr of sunlight in the summer, land is a little expensive, not too many large cities in Montana & Sask.,and people willing to help each other. Oh the elevation is also good. I live in rural N.Alberta, and I am not even a little concerned when the SHTF - this place is paradise compared to the rest of N.America....now that I think about it there are a lot of Americans moving up here...maybe they realize how great it is up here too.

Why would he be concerned about staying in Arizona? It's not exactly like that location is right along the coastline. It's not like his winter retreat is in La Jolla or Malibu.

If the San Andres was ever to go or a volcano went up it would effect hundreds of miles.

Everybody would also flee to Arizona. Look at a map Arizona also has faults.

The whole area down there would be in termoil.

Your also forgetting about the Salton Sea area.

Yuma is in the middle of the Honey Pot so to speak.

A Man Has Got to Know His Limitations

I am just a sinner trying to make it to heaven!

Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When the shills attack figure you are getting warm...

There was a big to-do last Summer about a university in Ensenada Baha Mexico having a hush hush conference recommending vacating the area and mentioning topographical anomalies right off the coast.

This was not part of the new story of the volcano to the south of Baha but they are probably linked, and mention was made of the fault line in the gulf & earthquakes there last summer.

The conspiracy angle re the censorship got buried, don't want to hurt the tourism & real estate market for the gringos.
