Let's turn this around on their ass. Time to talk seriously about armed guards in schools giving school officials access to a firearms locker

It is a simple fact. Every time there is a major 'gun crime' incident like Columbine or Aurora or now in Connecticut, why do people always call the police for help?

Because the police bring GUNS to solve the problem of an idiot with a gun.

It is not the police that restores order. It is the gun.

It is not the police that ends the rain of bullets falling on innocent people. It is the gun.

You want to solve the issue with gun crime? The answer is simple.

The answer to guns, IS guns.

Arm the school guards. Give school principals or other designated campus officials firearms training, and access to a special 'defensive weapons' locker that will be accessible to only a select few individuals, with dedicated keys assigned to select individuals.

If a would-be attacker knows that a school is no longer a 'soft target', they will think twice about putting themselves in danger.

Let's have the discussion. The answer to the gun problem is MORE GUNS. You can replace guns with clubs or knives or swords or slings or bows and arrows. The answer to offensive weaponry throughout history has always been - that's right - more offensive weaponry.
