How did you know this is there an owners manual that states it? I know for one cats do need a bath from time to time and when they get skunked you don't have much choice.

Yes, you can bathe cats. Some people need to bathe their cats in order to help with the owner's allergies. Now, I wouldn't suggest doing it unless you started out at an early age, like 10 wks or so. Otherwise, it can be a very bloody experience!

I bath my cat but get it done and then get him out , he is tolerant but also I respect the fact he has these killer claws that he could use if he was frightened.....

I think if they get skunked they would need a bath. Sometimes they get petrol or oil or something on them. Other than that I agree cats do not need bathing and that is why they normally hate it. Not all though, I had a cat that would be sitting in the bath in my warm water, when I came back after getting my night clothes and things. She also could not wait if anyone was going to clean their teeth. Straight in the sink, head under the tap getting soaked. Loved, loved ,loved water.

of course you should. Cats are not all one breed and do not all react the same. Some like water. Some swim. I had a white DL Persian who would get in the shower with me and sing while I shampooed him. I say "get in the shower" because he did it voluntarily. Even cats that do not like water need to be cleaned from time to time.

They should not have laughed at him. Cats have sensitivity and dignity. They left that poor little boy devastated.
