Say what you may, that idiot had no business jumping out of the truck like that. He provoked the officer by acting in a manner which made it look like he was going for a weapon. That guy that was shot was a felon several times over. What is the cop supposed to think when a wanted felon jumps out of his truck acting all crazy?

Well it kind of looked like the suspect was reaching for something when he was getting out of the car and the cop had nothing else to do than shoot him.

I think the cop was yelling something to the effect of "Ernesto, drop the knife" over and over. There was a knife found in the bed of the truck later by detectives. As far as I know, the cop was actually in the right because Ernesto had a weapon in his hand. Did the cop overreact? Possibly. Was it a justified shooting? Definitely.

People are too quick to jump to the conclusion that the cop wanted to kill Ernesto. The cop who killed Ernesto will have to live with that for the rest of his life. I seriously doubt that anyone short of a psychopath would want to kill anyone willingly.

The cops actually have a restraining order against one of the family members of Ernesto. It seems he has been harassing the two cops involved in the shooting.

That officer intends on going home to his family and he can`t afford to give convicted criminals a chance to get him first.All that guy had to do was put his hands up and follow the cops orders but he decided instead to jump out and make a bunch of fast moves with his hands.They say he was caught in his seat belt and was trying to free himself,It doesn`t matter.Was it wrapped around his leg or what?Cause he was standing outside the pickup when he was shot.After that officer told him he would shoot him this guy started moving his hands towards his waistband even lifting his shirt up while looking down as if he was grabbing something.So c`mon, murder?!
