What Creates a Sociopath?

Some got off topic as I can see;

A sociopath has no conscience. PERIOD.

They are not necessarily violent, just cunning.

Charming, smart, can have the biggest smile in the room.

They will lie often,pathologically in fact.

If you confront them, they get angry and try to use the gaslighting technique. Some state that they do not wish to talk about it any further.

They have to be in control; so they think.

LOVE? Does not exist for them sadly. Everyone is a potential victim. They use people.

Confrontations are unavoidable but you are wasting your time to try to let them know they've hurt you. That is exactly what they want to do. You have to wear a suit of armor and protect your heart from them.

It's a hell of a road when it's a close family member.
You learn to love them from a distance but you don't like them.

I've spent my life attending college full time, usually 5 days a week, and both summer sessions, and intersessions the two weekends between summer sessions, obtaining a bachelor degree and a master degree along with half a dozen other minors, 245 college credit hours, working out 3 or 4 hours a day 7 days a week, taking martial arts 2 or 3 hours a day several days a week, working club security, usually 7 days a week, breaking up hundreds maybe thousands of fights to see if I could control myself, exposing myself to all the free beer and liquor that anyone could ever want, only ever trying to prove to myself that I deserved to exist.

This is no way for a person to live, to live constantly trying to prove to themselves that they are not a drunk psychopath murdering bastard like my biological sperm donor that I never knew.

its genetics. you can be born with it. Your environment affects the outcome. If you are abused you will be a violent sociopath. if you are enriched you will be a genius sociopath.
I am the latter. Hence why i know this.

If you're trying to prove to yourself that you're not a psychopath, then you're not.
A psychopath would never even think in those terms.
you DO deserve to live too,and from waht you say you've more than earned it, if that needs to be earned.
So many are born with silver spoons in their mouths-and juts blow their lives on self indulgence.
Others have to fight for everything they have and are.

I believe deep inside I'm probably a killer because I can feel it. But I've conditioned myself to be in control no matter how angry, and no matter how bad the situation. I think some people just have to live with bad DNA.

Being a killer is part of human nature.
I think everyone has it, deep down.
Even the nicest woman will turn into a killing machine if her children are threatened,
Confession:I've got a lean build and I'm a quiet arty type by nature,and much prefer to spend my time with animals or nature or reading a book.
As a kid I had other kids attack me for being smart and introverted.
I used to erupt and punch the crap out of them.
At age 12 or 13, yet again I was attacked and went into full fury mode.
I came out of it to find myself chasing the other kid-much taller and much more muscular-down the street.
I dissolved into fits of laughter.
I've known since then what I'm capable of-and it keeps me out of fights as a)I know/they know what I'm capable of and b) I actually hate hurting people.
I exercise self discipline to keep a lid on that (sometimes necessary) monster.
I carried a lot of rage for years for various reasons, and I do know that it's best to get it out, mainly because of the internal damage it was doing me.
And I can spot psychopaths: I've developed a real instinct because I'm still lean, quiet and arty and they're everywhere.
You don't feel like one at all.
You do feel like someone who has a really tough life though.
Maybe you do have to live with bad DNA but man I think you're doing it really well and I wish you all the best.
And I hope one day you find that peace everyone (well almost everyone) is looking for.

True. But it always gets tougher.

I guess what would surprise me the most is how fast a persons brain can deteriorate to the point of committing random acts of violence. Or how easily it can be controlled or manipulated to commit said acts. Even if it's against the owners wishes.
