What Creates a Sociopath?

Sociopaths arent "made".

All of us were born that way.

If an infant is taught to love ,by being loved.

A baby is taught to care, by being cared for.

We are all born selfish,violent,ignorant ,and narcissistic beings.

We are taught compassion,empathy,integrity and wisdom by our elders.

Thats why its called "raising " a child...you raise them to a higher plane of existence.


So what does it take to turn a child into a monster?

Thats like asking "What does it take to make a child illiterate".

There are no "sane" people. We are all screwwed up to one degree or another. The ones we have to worry about are those that fall off the scale from time to time.

From bran scans, there is more white matter on the frontal lobes of the brain that affect emotions, conscience,etc.

The wiring is different from other people as well.

There is NO CURE.

I had a horrific childhood as well. My question is if you take two people that have had a similar experience as a child, abuse, trauma, etc. one will not be a sociopath and one will be or have terrible mental issues. So...what is the difference between the two? Brain chemistry?

I have still not gotten over a lot of it but as per my first post I could never in a million years harm a child.

its seems to me people with issues are the norm, and always hs been--the problem is we are teaching tolerance of it--with the real agenda of getting society to act like its all good.

I think the relevant question is what kind of environment is the sociopath exposed to.

I believe all problems that people have are made worse by a secular society/education system.

and all are improved ---from slowing rates of decrepetation to outright curing ---with the saving grace and influence of Jesus Christ.

Many have seen this in their personal lives.

sociopaths have different brains than "normal" people. these people can lack empathy, remorse, guilt, compassion, but it is because their brains are actually different. studies have shown that sociopaths have less gray matter in the frontal lobe region. studies also reveal that these individuals have differences in the way they process emotions, etc.

their genes determine this, but it doesn't mean a person will become disturbed and go on a killing spree.

it is a combination of nature and nurture.

Humanist indoctrination in schools added with evolutionary teaching, add decadence, programming from Hellivision, Hollyweird programming, add weird additives in food, flouride in toothpaste and water, and most of the other stuff already mentioned.

My real father was a drunk and a man, wife and child beater. No pictures of him exist where he didn't have black eyes. At some point I started working security at nightclubs because I wanted to deliberately expose myself to all the alcohol and fighting that I could.

I would like to know the answer to this question but I don't see it in this thread. Does a sociopath always know he/she is a sociopath or do they think later in life, am I a sociopath? What is a sociopath? A lack of emotions. is that a sociopath? Does a sociopath even know they are a sociopath like does a narcissist doesn't know they are a narcissist and why would they even consider it because it is all about them right?

Point: we don't know even if we try to know.

From the outside someone may be able to tell....that is a narcissist but can you tell ...that is a sociopath? I can't.

I have an autistic nephew, this little bastard, is psychotic about my led tv screen, every time he comes to my home, he try stick his damn plastic dinossaur into the screen, and in the last weekend he finaly got to scratch.

I guess what turns people into psychopaths, or at least one way, is his point of view about how the society treats him, is not a rare case where some individuals are rejected all the time.
When this happens they lost the reference about compassion, they dont feel part of humankind, so the anguish and angry keep growing until the point where they cant hold anymore, so they try to get revenge in some way, specially the ones who have a weak mind.

I am watching CNN. They just showed the Lanza home and interviewed a guy who used to babysit for Ryan and Adam Lanza. This "babysitter" was 15 years old when Adam was 10. He said that Nancy told him to allow Ryan to do what he wanted, but to never take his eyes off Adam.

He said that if it was time to go to bed and he told Adam that, he would throw a tantrum, which he thought was unusual for a 10 year old.

A combination of genetic predisposition to mental illness combined with abusive, neglectful or absent parenting.

I have a VERY close family member that has been diagnosed as a sociopath.

I have spent the last 12 years researching all that I can find.

They do know they are different, but do not care.
Empathy is not in their thought process.

They have no true emotions except anger. They like to feel in control. They abuse drugs, alcohol, sex, etc., to "FEEL" something. Not all of them, but most do.

They lie, steal, some are abusive/violent, not all, but do not care what others think or feel. They cannot help this.

The bigger question is how do those that have a family member as such, COPE. Has taken me years to try to hide possessions, money, learn not to accuse or argue since it is a complete waste of time.

I just give GOD the power to control MY thinking and love him/her regardless.

it may not cause a sociopath, but having no father present isn't good for young men

there is no statistical evidence to support that psychopaths who become gravely disturbed come from abusive and/or neglectful parents.

Nothing, you either have the gift or you don't.
