When I was in high school, I used to steal gnomes from peoples front yards, and then take pictures of the gnomes and leaves ransom notes on there doors saying stuff like if you ever want to see your gnome in one piece leave 50 bucks somewhere. I know, has nothing to do with this post but brought back some memories.

My mom was a joker and she stole a co-workers Cabbage Patch doll in the office. She tied it to a chair, etc. took pics and sent ransom note...God I miss that woman!

Should mention, when we did the troll thing one person did not follow through so maybe you should get a back up troll just in case.

OK, so I was talking with SeaPunk, and we've decided to globally send a garden gnome around the planet for 'funky photo's

he will start at my place on the 21st and then go to "Seapunk" (if she is not baned in the meantime)... GRIN... and then move to the next person on the list... i'm thinking PO box or someone elses address where you can collect him/her and stay anon... all you have to do is post update photos... i'm also thinking of a glp t'shirt for said gnome'

he'll be a rolling gnome'.. so lets this
'gnome rolling'.....

add nics (not real address or contact) yet to list to get in line.....

Cool Perth!

Coming from a GLP point of view,

Is this:

some data mining attempt, like they use to penetrate clandestine organizations?

or

do you think that some tracking device, or virus could be attached to the gnome?

of course if one is a totally open to the world facebook type they should not be concerned about time spent on such useless pursuits, right? ...because that is the definition of Art.

It's cool, so long as each person knows the true motives and goals of their spirit in anything they do, be it practical or pure art, every act a person does in their life, being something a person is willing to live and die by, well then it's all cool.

In fact I don't know if you are the same CP that was posting around March of 2011, but I applaud your work on the issues of Fukushima. Even once in a while when I don't relate to what you post, I still grant you a lot more benefit of the doubt than others.

Carry on.

I think there are some on here who would know how to put together a kind of interactive map that might keep up with the little guys' adventure....maybe???
 Quoting: Scarbedazzles

Yes, that's very easy to do, if lat/lon coordinates of each "gnome visitation site" are provided. Also easy to link a photo of said visitation event to each mapped location marker.

Needless to say, it is probably wise not to have gnomes visit any GLP homesteads - only public or generic places, like St. Louis Arch, or unnamed beach on Fiji...

both are valid in GLP terms... and as stated from the outset 'only for the brave and unafraid', and definately not for the unwise.... in saying this, how cool would it be for a non-descript and unkown glp gnome to travel the globe?... I am sure anyone willing would put ample things in place for their anonymity :) and yes public places were the idea....

cheers
