The massacre at the movie theater and the recent incident with the school, if someone in the crowds there had a firearm, the assailant could have been stopped immediately and most of those lives could have been saved.

Gun control is certainly not the answer to this violence. If you want a gun and you don't give a shit about the laws, you can get one.

Laws, by their very definition, only apply to those willing to abide by the laws. Criminals, by their definition, do not abide by laws. Guns control is a law. Therefore, GUN CONTROL DOES NOT AFFECT CRIMINALS.

Back in the thirties and forties, there were many more people packing at all times because there wasn't the stigma against guns that there is today.
