Check out this VERY STRANGE family photo!

The other 4 are in sitting very close together. Little Emilie is positioned off to the side, away from the rest, by herself.

ANY body language expert will tell you this is HUGE! and speaks VOLUMES about the family dynamics and the relationships within the family.

Some "conspiracy theorists" may even postulate that Emilie was added in to this photo later and was not part of the original shot. Take a look:

...

Because if you watch it WITH sound, OP's premise looks ridiculous.

I remember losing my parents, a much more normal thing, and I can identify with some of the feelings.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28008747

... and therein lies the problem.

You are PROJECTING your OWN emotional reaction onto these people. In order to SEE it objectively, you have to be NONEMOTIONAL. Think like an investigator. *IF* you can do that.
 Quoting: Hahahahaa 28872856

THANK YOU!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6568391

You have to be nonemotional, but you also have to know what you're talking about.

I am projecting, because that is how I empathize. With everything. How else could I do it, in any situation in life?

And so, maybe that's the window that actors exploit. Or maybe that's what fools some into thinking genuine reactions are staged. Maybe it is impossible to separate the two.

Let's separate two theories though:
(1) that this family is more money-grubbing than the other families who lost children and is jumping to the head of the fundraising line, vs.
(2) the grief is entirely or partially manufactured and there's some big alternate story we are not being told.

I am willing to believe (1) fairly easily. That does not imply (2) at all.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28008747

"I am projecting, because that is how I empathize. With everything. How else could I do it, in any situation in life?"

You can separate them. I know because -- as an independent researcher -- I have to do it. Those emotions color your perspective. You admit that you're doing it, so your take on this situation is moot.

Thanks for being at least partially rational. :)

A lot of people are jumping on the Dad here but to me he is a victim as well. Look this is tv. Time was going by and the public didnt have a focus or anything to relate to as far as the parents were concerned. I would be more interested in who approached him to be the spokesman for the parents. Was it tv people, LE? And hes vulnerable. Who knows what he was told in order to get him out in front of the cameras. I am sure he had help with the fund and all that.

Re: Why this father who just lost his girl is smiling? (Sandy shooting)
The smile in bereavement is when you think of how wonderful the loved one is (was, but I say is), the good times you had together, how they are being protected and gone to a better place. It's a sort of intense happiness, in the context of opening to wider reality (perceived or imagined.)

It's not a relaxed smile like in the first couple of seconds of that video.

NO TEARS!! NOT ONE -- FROM *ANY* of them! Just grimaces, sighs, and looking skyward or downward.

NO red, swollen noses; NO tear-stained cheeks; NO eyeglasses that need wiping off due to tears; NO makeup running because of tears; NO sniffling; NO noseblowing; NO bodies racked with sobs. NOTHING that you would normally see in grieving family members.

PLUS, *ALL* of them are J's or crypto J's. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!! In a community comprised of only 4.4% J's.

I posted an entire thread on this yesterday. THIS ENTIRE THING IS A THEATRICAL PRODUCTION! IT IS *NOT* REAL!!

Plus, WHO THE FUCK starts posting Facebook "tributes" and gives public press conferences THE DAY AFTER their CHILD died?! Answer is NOBODY except maybe a perverted attention whore (OR AN ACTOR in this PRODUCTION!).

Just as in the "Batman" shooting in Aurora, CO, we WILL eventually learn that these folks are actually ACTORS.

*****, OP. You are SPOT ON! Don't let the shills detract you.

Something to consider.
As a parent, I know if it was my child I would be prostrate with grief for at least a week or two.I do not understand the behavior of half the folks on TV who supposedly have lost someone, they are emotionless.

So.............

You aren't even sure of anything yet, the school is still on LOCKDOWN and you've already set up a facebook page, FUND.

listing all the bank account numbers to donate to. My God. The bodies are still warm!! Does no one else find this disturbing??

Why is it that one can't make an observation without the 'caring' & 'compassionate' ones jumping all over your shit and threatening you within an inch of your life? Way to show discernible intelligence!

OP - I noticed it as well, but it is debatable because he is apparently struggling to catch his breath. BUT - that being said, I have seen WAY TOO MANY dubious crying episodes and fake tears in this whole affair, so the doubt does seem to fit. But in his case, who knows? This teacher - totally fake! Not one tear ever! Plus, unlike Columbine, where were the desperate parents hysterical in tears, waiting outside to determine the fate of their child? None...
