Why this father who just lost his girl is smiling? (Sandy shooting) | |

This seems to be turning into an ugly thing fast. There needs to be a spokesperson for all the families... an attorney. One fund set up through some organization... The Parker family should not be allowed to get all this money... |

First thing that came to mind, was it looked like a performance. Bad one at that! I wish the people who find the actors from the Aurora shooting are here to help us find this one.... Bad one is right! The other thing that seemed odd, was the picture of his daughter. yeah, I know people get those kind of "pageant" pictures of their kids, but she looks like an actress. I think they're all actors! Just like Aurora. "When tyrants tremble in their fear, and hear their death knell ringing, When friends rejoice both far and near, how can I keep from singing" page7 |

allisaTX User ID: 25379369 United States 12/16/2012 09:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I said the same thing when I saw this.... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12164461 Something is just NOT right here.... He's in a suit, gelled hair, alone without his wife or any other parent.... Not one tear. Incredibly composed and joking how his daughter was a picky eater. Not a time for jokes! But the real weird part is how he conveniently mentions the Facebook FUND raiser page... "Funds for Emilie" Who the FUCK does that?! Who goes against all these other parents, without his wife, etc. to be the FIRST to jump on the donation band wagon that he is sure is coming. Brilliantly sick I tell you... I told my husband as we watched this... I didn't want to think that way, but it was clear... He jumped on that stage before anyone else with his donation, Facebook page to catch all the money before it's split between 30 families. I think it's gross.... The sobbing mother at home grief stricken and sick in bed isn't getting a cut of the big donations! She better get out her best dress to keep up! Gross. I agree with this. Asking for donations was way out of line. The photos of Emilie were very sweet, but not casual photos. Her name was elegantly written below her pretty face in calligraphy lettering. I guess that was taken from the facebook page. Last Edited by allisaTX on 12/16/2012 09:30 AM |

It's a large tragedy and in this country, it means MONEY. Haiti was all about money. I doubt anyone in Haiti is better off from it... Someone close to the Parkers instantly thought of it and started the page as Emilie's body was still WARM in the classroom.... Same with Aurora. There will be a benefit concert for all these school victims, guaranteed. It's just the norm now... Sad thing is... someone out there will use this one day as a lottery win. It's exploitation and it will turn into a criminal act one day with legislation being written to ban all donations to any murder/tragedy like this due to copycats... The fact that the father and aunt mentioned it at such a fragile time is the part that makes me sick. Not a single tear, but a mention of the fund.... really!? If my child died today, there wouldn't be a dollar from anyone, let alone a benefit concert or CNN coverage. This scares me.... Small children will bring in the cash, quick... I really hope no one out there gets any sick Casey Anthony/School massacre ideas....Folks will do just about anything for money and fame..... |

O_o That's what the article says. Quote: Alan Prothero and Brad Schultz, both of Ogden, created a Facebook site, Emilie Parker Fund, and a charitable fund that was meant for just the family and friends of the Parker family. But response has gone viral with more than 150,000 “likes” and 1,680 shares of a post about the charitable fund as of Saturday night. Prothero said the family will travel to Utah for Emilie’s funeral and burial and that the family’s friends want to help financially. “Every bit of the funds are going to the Parker and Cottle family,” Prothero said in a telephone interview. “We wanted to make sure there was an avenue to take care of their family.” Last Edited by nutmeg on 12/16/2012 09:51 AM |
