The Sandy Hook parents are in an unusual situation because, rather than having to figure out what to do with the body, they do not yet even have access to the body. But I guess they have to plan funerals too, just with a delay. I'm not saying this is not a staged event, there are certainly signs enough. But it could also be real. The first thing you have to do when a family member dies is business, then grieving. |

And so, maybe that's the window that actors exploit. Or maybe that's what fools some into thinking genuine reactions are staged. Maybe it is impossible to separate the two. Let's separate two theories though: (1) that this family is more money-grubbing than the other families who lost children and is jumping to the head of the fundraising line, vs. (2) the grief is entirely or partially manufactured and there's some big alternate story we are not being told. I am willing to believe (1) fairly easily. That does not imply (2) at all. |
