why dont the Rich ever help the poor

You could stabilize the poor. But that cannot be done outside of a strategy to reduce overall violence first. As long as there are militants, janjaweed and all the other armed groups, efforts to stabilize the living conditions of the people who need it, cannot be done. Supplies will be stolen, clinics raided and burned, especially if they promote women's health.

This means that a political solution needs to be imposed first, otherwise every penny spent in Africa is a penny wasted.

If that is the real question. Why are they suppressing us? It is because of events like the french revolution. We are billions, they maybe millions, we just go along with every silly law someone in government thinks will make a little more cash for them.

We are apathetic. We could stand up one day and so no! No more taxes unless we see the balance sheets every year, so we see what we are spending and on what. Us billions don't do it, because we are too complacent. If we ever do want to do something, it will be too late because they have slowly, slowly been chipping away at our freedoms and teaching us to never question and always conform.

Really smokers do no harm to anyone but themselves, as long as they smoke away from others. The government does not give a flying fig about smokers, except for how they can get money from taxing smokes 1000% and everyone claps.
Truth is, it suites government to be able to bring up smoking as a smoke screen Haha!. Soon it will have to be something else, because there will be no smokers. Then they will pick some other group. That is exactly what was done in the war - pick someone that you can get the public focused on to hate. They take their frustrations out on that group and IGNORE the real shit they should be looking at. I am only using smoking as an example, because I can't think of any group that the entire world feels strongly about except smokers at the moment.

You will never get rid of the poor because the conditions which create poverty will always be there. I don't care how much money you trow at the poor, more will soon take their place.

A few rich people do help. Some devote their lives to teaching other people how to become rich. I know, cos I meet some of them in my life, and they believe they are doing something good with their (rich) lives.

Just to give you an example, Bill O'Reilly is certainly a rich guy and he gives the profits from stuff he sells including some of his books to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Bill Gates, also certainly rich, has set up a multi-billion dollar foundation to help educate poor kids and do many other things.

There are many examples of rich people supporting various causes.

Just because they don't usually stand on street corners handing out money to losers like yourself who have a gimme mentality, doesn't mean they do not help the poor.
