Anyone having problems with their COMPASS?
I'm in Istanbul right now and the compass is showing north by an error of approximately 20 degrees. Anyone having the same problem?

I set mine on top of a book case and aligned the needle with the N on the dial. If it shifts in the next week I'll see the needle out of place on the dial. Right now it's pointing North, doesn't look too off for a cereal box toy.

Make sure there is no metal around, check your pockets and anything near it...

A compass does not point to the north pole. It points to the magnetic north pole. It has to be adjusted for the magnetic declination where you live.

Re: Anyone having problems with their COMPASS?
The compass declination for Istanbul this year is 5 degrees. The extra fifteen is significant. My compass (which is very nice) has been wobbling about five degrees to either side for aboit two weeks. Craziness.

Is yours holding steady at 20, or does it wobble, too?
