I set mine on top of a book case and aligned the needle with the N on the dial. If it shifts in the next week I'll see the needle out of place on the dial. Right now it's pointing North, doesn't look too off for a cereal box toy. |

The compass declination for Istanbul this year is 5 degrees. The extra fifteen is significant. My compass (which is very nice) has been wobbling about five degrees to either side for aboit two weeks. Craziness. Is yours holding steady at 20, or does it wobble, too? |
