I know that a big focus was the mimicking of the shooter, and facebook stuff. However if you watched the ENTIRE thing you would see he said that ANYTHING not coming from HIS MIC was not official and a federal crime.

In reference to the social media issue.....they are referring to the people out there that might be posing as the killer and putting the crap on Facebook or where ever that it is showing up. Nothing was mentioned or referenced to shutting the inerenet down or chat rooms down.....please don't add to all the misinformation that is already out there.

Not just making threats, or posing as the shooter.

I think the above section missed a comma based on how he said it should read as:

Yep, the second paragraph expanded it past the original cause though. Don't you see?

Cause was narrow, reaction expanded. "anyone found posting misinformation" not just people posing as a shooter or anything but "anyone posting misinformation" which is a broadly defined term.

Sort of like putting forth gun control because of a shooting.

I have been investigated (prolly not much) because I was close to the "subject", never noticed them except for the threat they gave to not talk about it to anyone while they were investigating.

This is eerily reminiscent of WH spox Ari Fleischer's lovely line after 9/11 that "the American people need to watch what they say, what they do."
