In the news conference police said people are posting false information on social media sites posing as the shooter or claiming to be state authorities, which has become a major concern in this investigation.
Lt. J. Paul Vance of the Conn. State Police said they are taking this very seriously and anyone found posting misinformation will be prosecuted, calling the information "threatening and inaccurate."
