Where To Be Living When The SHTF!!!! | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1430199 United States 12/16/2012 02:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To you folks who are fearing a SHTF scenario - are you moving? Are you taking vacations to safe locations? How many of you are taking time off next week, just in case? Quoting: Salvadorios I posted this earlier: Montana, Alberta, and Saskatchewan are the promised lands...clean air, clean water, tons of natural resources, good soil, not on a fault line, the climate's a little on the cool side, amazing 18+hr of sunlight in the summer, land is a little expensive, not too many large cities in Montana & Sask.,and people willing to help each other. Oh the elevation is also good. I live in rural N.Alberta, and I am not even a little concerned about my family's survival when the SHTF - this place is paradise compared to the rest of N.America....now that I think about it there are a lot of Americans moving up here...maybe they realize how great it is up here ,too. Check this place for suggestions of safe locations: [link to www.zetatalk.com] Maybe you should keep certain things to yourself. Ruin it for everyone, dummy. You want this to turn into America or what? LOL. Don't worry man. It's not near as easy moving there as he makes it seem. Even just getting a work visa can take more than a year. Then you have to actually have job skills that Canada is looking for, like an electrical or welding certification. Then you have to get hired and find temporary housing.....etc. etc. etc. And that's just the beginning, if you plan on staying permanent you need to apply for a reidency permit and that can take years. And even then your still not a citizen. Not to mention having to move all your household goods across an international boarder.. |

Maybe not so safe. Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28870983 MAYBE. Most will probably freeze to death because they aren't prepared to face severe winter. your probably right about that. I purchased a Wiggy's sleeping bag good down to -20. I'll make it. Besides, I've been to your country a half dozen times. I know what to expect..... |

Apply to some of the jobs and talk to some employers over the phone. They'll walk you through everything. Canada is a good place to be. N.Alberta has good schools, good hospitals, great infrastructure, safe communities, etc. I live here, and am not fearful of having a few thousand more American brothers up here. If you are a skilled worker, unskilled and not afraid of hard work, and don't mind moving come to the promised land. You'll find Canadians to be quite friendly and accepting. |

It won't be the "Blacks" or "Latinos" robbing, looting, attacking, assaulting, mugging, it will be certain Jews (the afore mentioned), when the Jews (not all of them) will get their "Entitlements/Welfare/Benefits" pulled after 80+ years of getting them with Communist Infiltrator FDR (from 1930). Good riddins.. You'll see! (it will happen when Fiscal Financial Cliff Happens - January 1, 2013, but effects will be felt January 10, 2013-> January 13, 2013).. Mostly in Jewish Urban Area... |

Off grid sufficient for a minimum of two years. In deep water ill ride right up and over any large wave. If that even happens. More importantly while America is in the throws of anarchy I'll be diving for lobster and sipping a Mai Tai. |

Better get another -20 bag to put inside your -20 bag. At least for Alberta, but I doubt anyone would go there. Too cold, winter is too long. BC that might be alright, but the mountain air is quite crisp. Hope you're bringing some mad survival skills with that bag. We should get GLP flags for our packs or something. So we know not to shoot. Or...wait...to shoot? I don't know. Haha |
