So, you are saying that the 2 calendar systems are off by "about 8 years", and yet you assume the exact date of Dec. 21st is still correct?

I'm no mathematician, but that seems to indicate an assumed probability of 1 (day) in 2,920 (days) or 0.03% accuracy.
