Ever since the Sandy Hook incident, people have been saying that we need gun control. When I hear this, I just want to scream. Don't you get it? Gun control would keep innocent people from being able to defend themselves. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WOULD HAVE GUNS WOULD BE CRIMINALS! Years ago, someone tried to break into our house in the middle of the night. It was 2 AM, and this guy was beating on our door. We were scared to death. Gun control would have kept us from being able to defend ourselves, but I'm pretty sure he would have still had a gun. Before that, my Father got held up on his way to work, and a gun saved his life. I'm talking about American citizens with no such record. They, on the other hand, should be able to protect themselves from criminals.
