Heavily armed state police are at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown. Firefighters also arriving. There was an earlier unspecified threat made at the church.

Breaking News: St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown has been evacuated during a noon mass. State police armed with assualt rifles have entered a house next to the church.

From the Danbury News-Times about police activity at St. Rose of Lima church in Newtown: "A bomb detection team searched the church and state police officials said it appeared to be safe. Officers then regrouped at their vehicles and marched to the parish religious education center, a white colonial-style house set apart from the church." No official comment from police yet.
