| Anonymous Coward User ID: 8598974 12/16/2012 05:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Icelandic Marine Research Institute estimated that there were almost 300,000 tons of herring in Kolgrafafjörður in 2011 and testing from early this week indicates that a similar amount of herring is currently in the fjord. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1128877 They currently estimate between 200 - 300 thousand tons. Speculation about die off include sea temperature. That is a very unlikely explanation since this is an unprecedented event. A more likely explanation is huge release of magmatic gases as magma rises to surface and subsequent volcanic eruption. |

If one goes out to the beach then you'll see the death of herrings everywhere above the sea. " He said herring not a whore. She is in fine condition. He says he is not confident about what causes herring death but think you can rule out some theories. The amount and the fact that it is all over the fjord, precludes such a death related killer or seal hunting. Last Edited by FatalW1shes on 12/16/2012 05:12 PM |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 8598974 12/16/2012 06:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | fish die off has been a regular event in 2012 but not a regular event in earlier times. Also the bird die off in 2012 was widely reported. Is there a connection ? If bird and fish guidance system is through electromagnetic waves then a sudden change in earth electromagnetics can possibly explain. Why is there blackout on why the earth electromagnetics are changing ? |

| Þór (OP) User ID: 26939269 12/18/2012 08:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Update: The sea was at freezing point. "At the northwestern edge is an ice edge and frost cool surface waters, colored blue, at the south edge. A tongue of warm sea surface temperatures between 6-7 ° C is clearly deeply outside of Bjargtangar. But inside Breiðifjörður, shows that sea surface temperature is measured by this method at or below freezing."
