Problem was...too many who didn't belong there were committed.

It needs to be looked at again though and some stricter rules put in place.

Well therein lies the problem. Mental health services are severely lacking in this country . . . it's near impossible for people who are on the edge to get any real help.

There are of course varying degrees of mental illness and it's against the law to just toss someone who you think is crazy in the hospital. I know you can Baker Act someone or get a court order if a person is a danger to themselves or those around them.

It's almost impossible to determine what someone is going to do unless they actually come out and say it. I see mentally ill people all the time in the city and some of them scare the shit out of me.

I agree we mentally ill people should have a island of our own and let us move to that place so we can escape the healthy normal evil people
