BILLBOARD IN TIMES SQUARE: Atheists want a CHRISTmas without Christ
Quoting [link to www.foxnews.com]
"Just as midtown Manhattan comes alive with Christmas cheer, festive window displays and Salvation Army bell ringers trying to channel holiday generosity to the needy, an atheist group has a message for the masses teeming into Times Square: Jesus is a myth.

With a picture of Santa Claus above another image of Jesus Christ, the sign, sponsored by New Jersey-based American Atheists, urges passersby to "Keep the Merry!" and "Dump the Myth!" Attacks on Christianity from the group have become routine, and in the bustling heart of America's busiest city, most folks don't even waste a shrug on the sign. But some took notice, and did not approve." end quote.

Yet another attack on religion by individuals who have nothing better to spend $25,000 on. RELIGION: THE ONE TRUE UNITER & DIVIDER OF EVERYBODY ON EARTH.

Re: BILLBOARD IN TIMES SQUARE: Atheists want a CHRISTmas without Christ
You should focus on things that really matter.

Have some respect for everyone's beliefs/non-beliefs.

If you are really bothered by a word like "Merry" perhaps you should step back and assess your own beliefs.

There is NOTHING that any atheist can do or say to sway the TRUE faith of someone who claims to be comfortable labeling themselves a christian.

Those who feel so almighty threatened by atheists and agnostics are more like than not, NOT secure in their faith.

Religion is the uniter of the weak.

Religion is the divider of the universe.

"Christmas",Isn't a Christian holiday, it's a pagan solstice festival that the early church appropriated to make conversion a bit easier.

I celebrate Christmas. I don't really believe in Christ or whatever. I believe that a God may or may not exist (though I like to believe one does), but I don't believe in religion. You need to accept that lots celebrate Christmas and are NOT christians. Just celebrate it for whatever reason you celebrate it for. It's nobody else's business.

1 But these took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land.
43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river.
44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over.
45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,

They can go for it. isn't that what X in Xmas means. But leave it alone for those who want it.

Psalm 14:1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God

They do not have to celebrate anything except their special Holiday set aside for them... April Fool's Day.

If they're not Christians, they shouldn't be allowed time off work for ANY Christian holiday.

We could let them take All Fools' Day off instead! I'll gladly work THAT day.

I wonder how long it will take for Americans to realize who is behind the "war on Christmas".

Not only that but aren't 'pagan' holidays usually dates for human sacrifices? Christ was never in Christmas. Time to stop blaming him and his true followers for all the awfulness done in his name?
