Please don't think me an ass, but I grew up on a farm. Everyone had guns. Never once did anyone's kid take a gun to school, shoot someone on purpose, or resolve a fight with a gun. I've never fired a weapon. My parents have lots of guns. I'm not interested in the least in handling one even though my father would like to see me take classes so I'm not so afraid of them. It's the person holding the gun that kills, the gun is just a tool like a club, a fist, or a frying pan.

I don't see why it has to be a divisive issue, but since people have been programmed to think, "Gun - bad" responsible gun owners are made out to be closet fruit cakes on the verge of going psychotic any minute. Even my mother knows how to shoot and she's a dead shot. I wouldn't want to be a criminal breaking into their house. She wouldn't miss.

Hell, I thought schools already had guards. We have police cars at all our schools everyday (the ones I can see anyway).

After 911,it was proposed to put a air Marshall on every flight. The government said it would be too expensive to do that. They then spent billions forming the TSA.

I would assume it would be too expensive to put a guard in every school but they can probably form the SSA,School Safety Administration.

Come spend a week in my neighborhood, then tell me I don't have a use for a gun. I live where I can afford, which isn't the greatest area. Full of human trash. Homicides, robberies, home invasions, the works. I actually thwarted a home invasion a few years ago by brandishing my sidearm...luckily I didn't have to shoot, as I drew mine before he could get to his. Staring down the barrel of a .40 cal caused the thug to rethink his actions.

No laws or limits are going to change the fact that this WILL happen again. No more guns and you will see gun fanatics bombing schools with over the counter chemicals just to prove a point.

The answer is better parenting in a lot of senseless violence cases.

Other than better parenting as a solution, there is no other solution. Evil gets hold of some and they do heinous things. The pain afterwards is rough, but trying to create laws to limit essential freedoms in an attempt to eradicate senseless acts of violence is a fruitless excursion.

Its like kids. sort of... they want to help so they make themselves a PPJ but win up getting jelly on the floor and dont really have the sandwich they wanted and then weve created more of a mess and are back at square one - only with less energy now.

The Ct. gun laws are very rigid. The clips that these guns along with the AR-15 are not large one. No soldier would go out and wage war depending on these.

Quit the gun talk and delve into the meds talk as each one of all these assaults have had that in common and while you are at it take a good hard look at the 'game' culture as it is all about desensitizing our youth to develop the skills necessary to maim and kill and earn points for it.

We have been and are programmed for this and then you add the electronic or radio frequency fog we have surrounding us and the subliminal opportunities to tweek these people along with their 'counselling' and you have natural born killers.

If memory serves me correct, the reason the Brady Bill was shot down (no pun intended), is that there were no reductions in crimes with an "assault" type weapon. Look it up on the FBI site, the stats are there on gun crimes.

It is important for people to understand the specific definition of these drugs and their function. Typically, the MAO, Non-MAO, SSRI and certain other drugs are defined in medical literature as Neuroleptic drugs. The definition here says a lot. These drugs do nothing to treat the situation and the definition says so. These drugs only restrain behavior. They are chemical “strait jackets.” They make it difficult for a person to do anything. Under the influence of these drugs, the person does not present [exhibit symptoms] with his rash behavior. He still wants to do it and becomes, over time, more and more determined in his course of action; he just cannot do it while the drugs are in control.

The basic problem here is the loss of the control. It comes in several forms. Over time, these drugs become less and less effective. They also cause serious brain damage to the person over time in the form of dementia which results in more and more irrational behavior. Over time, the person gets a lot worse. The typical time for this is about three to five years for any particular drug. Persons are given different drugs periodically, as time diminishes the drug’s effect. The damage to the person continues.

As the person becomes more and more damaged, they also become angrier more easily and more quickly. People handling Alzheimer’s disease patients and family become familiar with the person who was previously so nice and friendly, becoming more and more likely to strike out or do rash acts. This is the progression of dementia. Remember that the damage is never exactly in a pattern. It shows up differently in every unique individual.
