We had a mass shooting in 1996 - 35 people were killed by a gunman. The Federal Government stood up to the gun lobby and changed gun laws then and there. Gun deaths have dropped by half since then. And we haven't had another mass shooting since 1996. For what it's worth - owning a gun might make you FEEL safer but it doesn't mean you ARE safer. At least figure something out for semi-automatic weapons, seriously. |

I agree limitations are needed but not limitations on the guns themselves. Only 60% do background checks for gun registrations...60%. Even if they do background checks on 100% the problem still will not be resolved. I am not sure what the solution is but it should not involve limiting the types of guns or ammo. |
