Historically, threatening the weapons has been the line in the sand. And declaring "Martial Law" over something like this, would be a HUGE miscalculation on the communist in chief's part.

Sure, plenty of people didn't learn from history, and will have to learn the hard way. But conversely, there are plenty of people (even young people) who are a lot more savvy than you think.

Out of all the gun owners know, all of them have said (when asked) that their line in the sand is their firearms. People are apprehensive of what's coming in this country (economy, the dollar and so forth), so the LAST thing they intend to do, is forfeit their ability to defend themselves.

The late 40's and 50's were the most prosperous times this country has EVER seen. Yes, there were some social injustices involving women, or to a greater degree, blacks.

No country has EVER been "perfect", or without problems and/or injustices. But Overall, this country was the single most respected, and prosperous nation on earth.
