Dexter Season Finale!! (WARNING SPOILERS)

I'm not watching it continuous, but it was always exciting to me. Has one of the best intros, I guess.

I havent watch it since Rita was killed off.

Never did like Deb either. Glad to hear LaGuerta is gone.

Is Angel still around? I always liked him.

yeah Angel is around but this may have been his last season. He bought a restaurant and was slated to retire Jan 1. The finale takes place on new years eve. He might not retire because laguerta was trying to convince him Dexter was the bay harbor butcher.

First time ever I started to cry during Dexter. I had a feeling she was going to do it. Because as Dexter is telling her to do it and Laguerta is telling her to shoot Dex, I knew that Deb wouldn't shoot Dex.

I have a feeling that both Deb and Dex will both die next season because they have crossed the line. Dex did last week with Hannah's father, breaking the code.

I don't know if you saw the little interview with the showrunner, but he said they had to do it to bring Dexter from a superhero to a serial killer.

I loved it when he used to kill rapists that fell through the cracks or murders that were found not guilty. I actually don't like him (the character) all that much anymore, and if he does die, I'll feel bad, as I've grown attached to him after all these years, but I think it's time to finish him off. And now Deb. The Deb we knew would never do such a thing. Yet she did it.

Next season is going to be unbelievable. Also with Hannah loose, who knows what will happen.

Then I watched Homeland and that season ending was explosive and I didn't see it coming at all. So it's been two hours
of total suspense.

I wish the seasons weren't so few shows.

Oh, that was great when they showed the old clips with Doakes. I loved his character. And Dexter was so sort of innocent back then.

You could be right. I would think that the former Captain might be suspicious too. Although Dexter knows how to fix up a crime scene and him and Deb probably made it look good. I like Angel so I hope he doesn't leave. I thought maybe Joey wouldn't be back, but I guess he will. He doesn't look healthy at all. Every season he gets thinner and thinner.

Hope they don't start up the incest BS again. I HATED that.

Yes, the crackhead passed Hannah a pill while they hugged in court. It was to get Hannah sick so she could get sent to the hospital. You could see the pill and then Hannah put it in her mouth as she was walked out of the courthouse.

The hospital scene was really stupid though. They would put real cuffs on her and not leave the area. I don't even know how she could have got the plastic cuffs off. I have a feeling that she's going to end up on the kill table.

I don't have showtime this season. Was Dexter still interesting this year? Last year sorta sucked a dick or two.

I was really shocked deb shot Maria. I sort of felt she would just arrest Dex. I don't know how they're going to cover up the fact that Maria was shot with Deb's gun.

Well, I wasn't planning to watch tonight but then I saw this thread and didn't want to get spoiled so I'm back now after having watched.

WOW. Totally made me cry when Deb ran over to LaGuerta after shooting her. And then did you see the guy speaking after the show? He said that part wasn't scripted but they had the tape rolling and she just did it naturally. It was really intense!

I loved the line where that old Captain or whatever he is told Laguerta to get down and start kissing anything that resembled an ass LOL

Anyway, I am behind a few eps of Homeland and I don't want to get spoiled on that (saw it mentioned) but wowww for Dexter. I still say Rita in the bathtub is the best season finale ever, but this one ranks right up there.

just so you know it was renewed for 2 more seasons...

I started to really dislike this show because every season ended too perfectly - every aspect of the story lines just somehow got completely sorted out by the last episode of each season and Dexter gets away with everything and he moves on to a new theme for a new season.

Anyway, glad I stuck around and kept watching. This season was actually really good. Can't wait til season 8. Kinda hope they catch him..

I know, i really had to wrestle with myself not to click this thread earlier haha. I am glad I watched first tho, wouldn't have had the same impact i'm sure.

I think that includes this season that just ended and one more (seasons 7 & 8). I just Googled and that is all I see.

I didn't see that coming for Deb to shoot Maria after they have been together all this time.

Can't imagine where this is going.

I love this show too but haven't been able to watch it the last couple of seasons. So Deb knows about Dexter? I'm guessing Laguerta figured it out and they had a showdown?

there were scissors on a table right beside her bed. she cut the plastic with those.

nah, deb caught him killing someone, right in the act of it. at first she would going to turn him in, but he convinced her not too. now shes sort of become his side kick grudgingly. laguerta being onto dex has nothing to do with deb. its just a side plot.

she kept investigating the old evidence and started find little clues here and there.

Ahhh, I see. I have to get caught up. I figured Deb would find out sooner or later.

Rita's character was way to naive, honestly she needed to be written off/killed for the show to survive. I forsee some creepy dep/dex incest happening next season, now that deb has stepped into the darkness, she is going to be looking to dexter for comfort. They are either going to have Hannah vanish for a bit or she'll stick around and try and win back dexter, either way I don't see Deb pursuing her to the extent she went through in season 7, not with what's she's done.

Yeah, so Dexter would never be with Hannah now. No matter how bad he wants to. Because the twisted, taboo love he has for his sister over rides that, automatically, without question. I think it's alternately funny and a bit sad. I really don't know. I kinda do hope they cross the line into the fucked up incesty stuff next season, it just seems appropriate for the two characters, being who they are, with the history they have.

WTF are you talking about? There is no incest! Dexter is adopted.

I don't think they can leave LaGuerta to be found especially since she was killed with Debs gun.. They will have to chop her up. Plus Deb has to get into her office and get that DVD of her pumping gas the night ex killed Travis marhsall and other evidence.

I love the old captain.. he is the perfect actor for this role. He has had some of the best lines on the show. I'll miss him humiliating and scorning Maria LaGuerta....hahahahaha

The next season, who knows but I will say that Dex has met his match with Hannah. U see how she bit his mouth when they kissed the last time?

I hope Dex kills that crackhead friend of hannahs!

yeah next season will be interesting to say the least. i figure youre right about her body. they cant leave it there. shell have to get dropped in the ocean like the rest. the crazy shit will be her vanishing like that right after accusing dexter of all that shit. maybe theyll make it look like she couldnt handle fucking up that bad and bounced out of the country or something. i dont know.

the show has had its ups and downs for me. i liked this season a lot, but other seasons kind of sucked. i have watched it since day 1 though, so i am trying to be loyal.

I was 90% sure that Deb will be the one to kill Laguerta in the finale so not shocked enough. Season had potential but writers got bored after the first half and the death of the gay Russian tbh, sloppy writing after that.




2 more? Thought the next one was supposed to be the last, can't say i like this, it's going too far, there won't be any more people left to be killed in Miami at this rate.
