I have a question for all the people who believe guns should be taken away or the ones who don't own guns.

I have a cousin who is alive today because he had a revolver in the house. Bad man broke into the house (armed with handgun), tied up his wife and young daughter in the bathroom then tied him up in the bedroom. He got loose, grabbed his magnum then drew down on the perp and told him to drop his. Perp shot my cousin twice before he killed the bastard. My cousin recovered and the family lived.

And the reason you own a gun as opposed to a pick handle is what?

The story doesn't show the details and when he got his magnum, he could have just as easily grabbed his spear. How did he succumb to the armed assailant when he has wife and child in proximity? He surrendered to a gun user when they were in danger?

Is killing with a gun non violent? Do I have to own a gun to defend myself?
