Also this remind me of Reseident Evil 5... with Tricell.
Tricell was the subcontractor that became the neo umbrella corp later on after umbrella got shutdown.
In RE 5 they show you the native site where Umbrella started their research on the Lotus flower. According to them, It holds the key to immortality!
On the research note, it mentioned that dispite it's beautiful apperance, The lotus flower is a PARASITE!
Using the genes of that flower and doing experiments on other Seeds with other flowers, they discovered they could Revive totaly DEAD cells!
The lotus flower grow out of filfth because it is a parasite, reviving Dead cells to do her biding!
What was released in the gulf of mexico, synthia and coreexit 9500 has something to do with the Abyss being opened.
