Coast to Coast - the late GREAT Show of Art Bell's Time.. is gone.

THe problem is he sounds too much like a news guy.

I stopped listening to C2C about six months after Noory took over. Art is never coming back so stop pining for him. he really isnt worth your time.It sucks too because like most people who stay up late it took me a long time to adjust to the fact I didnt have my fav show to listen to anymore.since arts show first appeared a lot has changed. we no longer are limited to waiting until 1 am to hear his show . you can podcast.in the DFW area they dropped the Noortard eight months ago . and XM dropped his nightly repeat before the live show. the writing is on the wall . I hope noory sticks to his promise and retires this year . its been a long twelve years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . the show that replaced c2c om xm is called ground zero radio with some guy called clive , its pretty good give it s listen . and if you dont have xm he was a website . forget about coast without a major redo its finished . noory accomplished his mission of dumbing down arts audience. and remember to live by my motto

Who is the substitute host, he sounds young, very anti-Catholic.

I must say though in all reality C2C died when Art's former wife Ramona did.It seemed to me Arts topics drifted into NOortard zone after she passed away. To me at least she was the driving force behind coast and Art was......well....Art, sitting there night after night in his chair with his headphones on smoking pall malls ( 100s of course) and taking all the credit.OK maybe thats a little harsh . but so were those pall malls ! rest in peace Ramona Bell aka Lee Hayes .

My hubby and I have been very dissappointed for the past few years with Coast to Coast. So it seems... George Nooney is more interested in Ghost / Vampires and Current Affairs. Week after week we say to our self why are we still listenting.

I can hardly findy anyting that has to do with the SUBJECTS of 10 years ago when Art Bell was the host..

i listened to art a lot; he made that show -- it was his baby, and you could tell it mattered to him by his tone on whatever (even mundane) subject matter

i think people who inherit things just don't realize how difficult it is to grow something from scratch; no name can only ever be, by this definition, a stand in for art

i miss art, but that time is gone. glp is my alternative for coast to coast these days

i do miss compelling radio. i started listening to a web stream called american freedom radio, but that didn't last

i wonder if glp could compete with coast-to-coast in a radio broadcast format? there are a lot of interesting contributors for the website who might serve as guests from time to time -- so no shortage of interesting material; question is who would be passionate enough to host it? to be successful, it must be someone who really cares about their baby...

Remember, when Art came back and someone asked him about 9-11 truth? He got all emotional and puffed up with righteous indignation and he said, and I quote " If I thought MY government could do something like that, I'd leave the country immediately"
