Well how far do you want me to go back because there are school shootings listed back as far as the late 1800's.

Yeah sure. I took some psychology class in college and the entire class was all about mass shootings. I had no idea the shootings went this far back until I took that class years ago.

All I know is that I don't think there was a real threat then. I knew of no school security systems that had to be implemented to insure student safety. They did inspect bag, no metal detectors, ect. If there was a seroius threat schools would have reacted.

If you look into it though, the shootings seemed to increase and get worse towards the late 1980's then the 90's it seemed to be happening all the time. In my own formed opinion I think maybe because it was on the news so much that it almost glorified it.
I was in 8th. grade when Colombine happened and I remember that some of the kids I went to school with were actually praising those boys who had done that. They idolized them and I think that became almost a trend. I just think that because it was on the news so much that some students thought that maybe that was their way out too. I don't know but I think all the media attention has made school shootings look appealing to already troubled and depressed teens/children.

Did you not go to the link? There were shootings happening. You can look them up. You know back in late 1800's most young boys were allowed to carry guns and they were allowed to take those guns to school. The schools had no problem until there were a bunch of shootings then it was changed and they were no longer allowed or supposed to carry their guns to school.
