why do you think they did salt them shells then?

it will take me atleast a week to eat those seeds lol
yay a new hobby, pick sunflower seeds out of the shell.

I pitty the birds, its really hard work just to get a tiny seed out

Im like near addicted to sunflower seeds and they helped me stop smoking, I sometimes do eat the whole thing. xD

it takes about 15 seeds to match the size of one peanut

I buy them with the shells already removed. They are extremely filling. You hardly need any to feel satisfied.

OP, besides joking around you should not eat the shell...not only because of the pesticide but also they can cause "Morbuscrom"...the digestive organs can not deal with it.

yea i use to do that allso, just throw a whole handfull in there and crunch crunch, this packet i just had to try, all the text is in turkish made it more interesting

Hold the shell between thumb and index finger and put it between your front teeth, if you have any, holding it vertically, with the tapered part pointing into your mouth. Then delicately bite down and crack it open at the seam. It will splay open for you, just like your first girlfriend did that one time, way back when. Remember that? Next, lightly bite into the seed and remove the husk. Finally, chew the seed. With this simple technique, which takes a little practice, you get some of the salt taste, too.

And no, don't eat the shells, for crying out loud. Who know where they've been...

suck of the salt then eat the seed, its not that hard, but if you like the shells, eat them, the ones that are tender enough. I liked the salted pumpkin seeds too, and chew generally the shells and if they chew I swallow them, if not a spit them out. salt does not hurt you by the way, it is not the source of high blood pressure, hardening arteries and stress are.

Pumpkin seeds are better for ya they can help prevent colon cancer and are much easier to chew up- and swallow shells and all.

Another divide and conquer thread! I usually chew the seeds up real good and swallow. If you do not chew them up the cut your butt up on the way out.

ASDT or Advanced Shell Disposal Technique: OP you can take a page of an old brochure and roll it up into a cone, spit the shells in there and then dispose the whole thing. Positive for loafing and the environment. Saving the resources used to clean a alternate vessel for shells is greater than recycling the paper cone. Be certain to fill it and not have some smart uncle smack it out of your hand because he thinks he is funny, unless you are at his house.
