No it will not stop them. Those intent on killing will find a way. It will be a less efficient way but still in the end it doesn't matter. Where there is a will, there is a way..

It's an extremely complex issue but we won't treat it like one. We'll ban a certain type of gun instead and wonder why it still keeps happening.

Oh absolutely that will stop them! Outlaw those evil assualt weapons and everything will be fine. I am sure no one would break the law and possess one anyway. But that's not going far enough. We also need to make carrying them onto school property illegal. We should also make it illegal for anyone under 21 years of age to purchase one. Then we should pass a law to make murder illegal. Sarcasm/off

Of course there are already laws in place for these things, passing more laws to make the law abiding even more vulnerable seems like sheer stupidity to me.

No it will not. You can't prevent crazy people bent on murder from going on the attack. You can only stop them with equal or superior force.

The worst mass murder at a school in US history did not involve any kind of gun at all.
