AC705 you're spot on about rounds used for training. I
posted this a couple of days ago.
My brother inlaw is Chief of police in a Florida beach town, and that is exactly what he said. You train with the
round that you will use on duty. Now you take the amount
of agents there are and it's in the thousands(that's just in
the DHLS), and the time they spend on the range, and they spend alot of time shooting, that's a hell of a lot rounds
expended. So you can see right there is where most of the
ammo goes.

That's patently false. As a cop I can tell you we do not use JHP for anything other than our duty weapon (both pistol and rifle). We use frangible in our indoor range and ball ammo when we train outdoors. Frangible and ball ammo is infinitely cheaper to train with. I know of no agencies or SO's that use JHP for training, and if your brother in law is using it to train hos officers with he is wasting taxpayer money.

There are fragmentation concerns with JHP in indoor ranges, and you will not see it being used at a poloce range, period.

So as a cop will you enforce a gun ban or confiscation? Or will you uphold your oath

I guarantee you that none of the guys I work with would enforce a gun ban. It would be suicide. Every house would be an armed barricaded subject situation. Most people may hate us, but we've got families too. we will choose to uphold the constitution as it stands.
