If you allow society and government to raise your children, they will and they will create the exact fear based adults that consume their media and products without question. The mistake is thinking that society is responsible and you cannot do anything. Your kids do not do what you say they do what you do... It all starts with parenting and the morals and behaviors of the parents.

Stay at home dadowns business owner of 4 and 6 yr old boys.....

society is you and me, brother.

society starts with the individual.
it's not some "over-there" entity
 Quoting: Salt

Society for your children is what you as the parents create, to clarify the the parents control the child's society. If you feel you have no control and you let your kids experience the overall society before their are able to understand what they are experiencing it will shape their views. You can choose whether or not guns, violence sex etc... Are part of your child's society before they are ready...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30147050

Yes, I thought my parent's had money and they ruled with an ironfist regarding what we got, what we ate, who I was with...everything I did especially when compared to other parents who gave their children so much more freedom.

My brothers and I felt envious of others for some petty shit...ha. If we commented on it to the parental units we where told that life was just that way sometimes or that we could have it much worse and get over it.

Seems funny now.

emotionally, physically, mentally...

Speak for yourself. My kids are well rounded. They do not spend their lives watching TV and being Vidiots. One plays music, one reads non-fiction science, one owns his own company, and the youngest will be heading to UCLA in the fall of 2013.

They are not caught up in the MSM, TV, nor pop culture. They are aware of it but they are also aware of the evils in society. They all understand how the NWO and the MIC (all TPTB) operate.

They used to think I was full of shit but as they have gotten older they appreciate how wise their ole man is.

put them in a Christian school in RURAL America.

Don't let them watch trash on tv, and by the time they do, morals will be their foundation; they will grow up to be great people.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23818020

Here you go... except take it one step further -- HOME SCHOOL them in rural America.

That GREATLY increases your odds of having a mature, quality child that grows into a mature quality man or woman.

Why would any sane person turn his child over to COMPLETE STRANGERS for six hours a day?!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27229787

And then you're left with someone who has been completely sheltered without developing any real social skills and friendships. And when the time comes for them to go off to college or become part of the workforce, they'll be overwhelmed with......PEOPLE!

Parents just need to be parents and stop blaming everything and everyone else. We need to be loving, compassionate, as well as firm and disciplined. Be their parents, not their friends. Keep kids of these damn prescription meds too!

I for one am keeping my kids out of public school. THAT is the MAIN problem with all of it, in my opinion. If you leave your child in state school to be turned into a mindless Marxist, they will have physical, mental, social and spiritual deficiencies, I promise! What you teach them a few hours a week cannot undo 30+ hours of brainwashing that they endure. You can get all into the modern psychobabble about how they were picked last and their shoe laces were too tight, but the bottom line for me is: If you teach kids that don't know any better that government is god, that they are related to cock roaches, that homosexuality is just a normal lifestyle choice, that the Founders were rebellious idealists and that free markets are selfish then you will get a generation of deranged psychopaths, and here we are. If you still have your kids under this beast system you should be ashamed! NONE of them are good, I don't care how highly they rate! GET THEM OUT NOW!

First things first. Before we can give children a stable healthy communit/city/country to grow up in, we first must be able to provide them with stable healthy HOMES to live in. It all starts at home.

People need to only have children if they are truly in love. Children need to grow up in a two parent home. Be tought morals. Fathers need to stay around, and raise the kids they have. Momma needs to realize she is going to have an effed up child if she is out till 3am partying still.

I think this is why more and more are choosing not to have children. It is very sad.

I agree very much, Salt. I've told my kid many times that I can't imagine what it's like to be 17 today, to grow up in a world, that is, for lack of a better word, alien to me.

We need to try to lead by example, and the more of us adults that try, in a positive way, hopefully the environment will shift enough that there is a tangible difference.

I think a lot of kids these days (and adults, to be sure) are attached to technological distractions. We lose sight of human contact, and kindness, and become numb and blind to problems in this world, until they come knocking at our doorstep.

Yes, a family with two parents. Look at crime rates, statistics always show children who grow up in single parent homes have a much higher chance of being imprisoned, live in poverty, or be addicted to drugs.

There are some great single parents out there, that do all they can. That are single parents at no fault of their own. But for the childrens development nothing beats a two parent home.

there are too many toxins in everything. Thought, culture, diet, everything. It is so hard to create a healthy environment for children when we can't even clear our own heads.

Your arguments lack knowledge and have no substance. You are parroting what the system tells you to say. How many public schools encourage students to socialize?! You get sent out in the hallway for that. How many situations in real life do you only interact with people your same age? NONE! Social skills are not the same as cliques and sports. I have 5 kids that have been homeschooled that would not only out test any of your "well socialized" kids, but excel in any job they perform, have a great group of intelligent, Christian friends, and can interact with any age-group just fine, including adults. Save me the parrot act, it's not gonna cut it. Get your kids out of school, take some responsibility and teach them yourself!

This is probably not going to be a popular comment, especially to those of you in the States but It's not really a global issue. It's a cultural issue. I grew up in the States and still have family there. I visit often and vacation there. I have been in Canada for the last 12 years. I see glaring differences between the kids in the US and Canadian kids. I have 2 teenagers and many nieces and nephews in the US and in Canada.

Canadian kids or more well behaved and adjusted than their counter parts in the US. More polite and respectful. BEtter educated and healthier.

I pray for family members in the US and for the young generation that will have a huge financial burden upon there shoulders.

SO TRUE!!! The family and home life are crucial determiners of the integrity of society. Child culture should start with the love and care of BOTH the mother and father, then develop on into society. It is true, if the individual is the atom of society, then the family is the molecule. Human relationship scales up from there. As family is one of the smallest parts, in the final analysis, it is also the greatest whole, for in this universe of universes we are all one cosmic family. This is the lesson we should pass on to our children! :)

Oh and God bless to you too, Salt! :)

Re: I would not want to be a kid in today's world. What are we doing to cultivate a emotionally healthy environs for our children?
First things first. Before we can give children a stable healthy communit/city/country to grow up in, we first must be able to provide them with stable healthy HOMES to live in. It all starts at home.

People need to only have children if they are truly in love. Children need to grow up in a two parent home. Be tought morals. Fathers need to stay around, and raise the kids they have. Momma needs to realize she is going to have an effed up child if she is out till 3am partying still.

That's step 1

put them in a Christian school in RURAL America.

Don't let them watch trash on tv, and by the time they do, morals will be their foundation; they will grow up to be great people.

Here you go... except take it one step further -- HOME SCHOOL them in rural America.

That GREATLY increases your odds of having a mature, quality child that grows into a mature quality man or woman.

Why would any sane person turn his child over to COMPLETE STRANGERS for six hours a day?!

Your arguments lack knowledge and have no substance. You are parroting what the system tells you to say. How many public schools encourage students to socialize?! You get sent out in the hallway for that. How many situations in real life do you only interact with people your same age? NONE! Social skills are not the same as cliques and sports. I have 5 kids that have been home schooled that would not only out test any of your "well socialized" kids, but excel in any job they perform, have a great group of intelligent, Christian friends, and can interact with any age-group just fine, including adults. Save me the parrot act, it's not gonna cut it. Get your kids out of school, take some responsibility and teach them yourself!

No, actually I am thinking for myself there champ.

It's not a parrot act. And you know what, I can say you're parroting too, big deal. Do you care? No? Good, because neither do I. You're just trying to defend your choice of homeschooling. If that works for you and your kids, great! I wish nothing but the best for you and them. But I have my own opinions regarding this issue.

Public schools encourage students to socialize primarily through extra-curricular activities such as sports, theater, music etc. Also, students develop friendships along the way too. What's so horrible about that?

Seriously...

emotionally, physically, mentally...

a world that offers stability, sanity, love, warmth, promising futures?

we continue to point fingers and blame, but nobody is willing to stand up and make a difference.

this world has gone completely insane.
and our kids are left alone to cope with it.
we, as adults, are doing nothing to offer compassion or understanding.

this is the core issue.
