Or is it? This is gonna be the greatest test for the Quantum Mechanics observer theory. All these people all over the world thinking of doom at the same time. If the observer theory thing is right, this is the moment to prove it to be correct or dismiss it forever. [ link to en.wikipedia.org] So many minds focused on the same doomy intent, wether they want to believe it or not, they will be thinking about it on the 21. Something (whatever it is) is bound to happen.  If i remember correctly the y2k (jan 1st 2000 bs) had way way more people focused and concerned. That was way more mainstream than the 2012 december date too. Now if i remeber correctly more o less sweet fuck all happened on 1st of jan 2000 - except a few bad hangovers, some people praying to god on the porceline telephone - some rocky come-downs etc. Don't forget all the pregnancies! True, several lucky people would have found walking or sitting down uncomfortable for most of the day too. Your definition of lucky greatly varies from mine
