There was no automatic weapon at the shooting. Automatic weapons are highly controlled and very expensive. The weapons used were semi-automatic .....big damn difference. One trigger pull, one bullet. See how easy that is to understand. As for for 100 round "clips" .... no such thing. There are 100 round drum magazines and personally I would rather have something less inclined to malfunction. If you cannot make a mag change in less than 5 seconds, you need to go back to the range.

A few years back a police department in my state had to pay out almost $20 million to a family for killing the wrong person, and the officer was fired. A stupid redneck doesn't have shit to give a family if he ruins a life/lives.

Don't criminals thrive on 'getting away with it", despite the possibility of such stringent sentences? The jails are packed despite the laws. And if the mental health of such individuals is taken into account, then, again, I don't think it truly matters. All we have to do is look around...good people follow the law, criminals don't and never have.
