Yeah! Let's ban anyone who doesn't think like us. Then go to anyone who doesn't look like us. Next, anyone who doesn't dress like us!
Wonder what we'll have left?
I feel sorry for people who judge others by "types", who cannot appreciate all types of people, all types of diversity. Shallow. I know current media is advocating making certain groups of people appear "inferior" because they don't fit the norm as DSM has defined it (psychiatric panel), although they can't say it as blatantly as an advocate can on forums.
These threads making villains introverts, etc., have really popped up a lot lately. It's how media shapes public opinion (or tries to).
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27335400 It is because Lanza was reported to have been shy and introverted.
Then some sheep comes along, and puts every person who is or has been shy and/or introverted into a tiny little box and places him as the same personality as Lanza and so, in turn, presumes those people are potential terrorists.
See, when you look at it like that, it is not the people the OP is placing into neat categories that are the danger....
Seriously people, I cannot stress enough how dangerous it is to place others into neat little pigeon-holes. As somebody once said on another thread on GLP, "trying to fit the infinite into a finite box, just will not work" - true that and it is fucking dangerous to even try, because it is a cast-iron certainty that the attempt will be a failure.
Common sense is needed here and unfortunately, the OP doesn't possess much - but they do (apparently) have lots of friends. Well, that is comforting then, isn't it. We should all be safe tonight........
