[ link to spaceweather.com] So what would happen if it opened right up on us.... or better yet Gets larger since this wasn't on thier site yesterday, 3 days left lets see if we can get us some SOLAR radiation Doom! Earth is entering a stream of high-speed solar wind. The source of the wind, a coronal hole on the sun, is shown in this image taken by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory during the early hours of Dec. 17th:
