What it looks like is the girl pointing has been photoshopped into the picture as AC said - but where Emily was originally on the father's lap and not off to the side. She would have had her legs draped over the side of her father's right leg.

Well, I guess sometimes families recycle clothing. I wore a lot of clothing that my older sister wore. But that was because we were poor, not sure if wealthy families do the same thing.
