Do You Think Adam Lanza's Father And Brother Were Right?
For abandoning the mother and brother in lieu of moving to the city to New York City to earn lots of money as accountants instead of looking after Adam and his mother.

Re: Do You Think Adam Lanza's Father And Brother Were Right?
I don't know - it kind of depends on the situation and none of us lived in that house to know what was going on. I have one Asperger's kid who is sooo extreme that he screams and throws things on a daily basis. His mother constantly makes excuses which merely makes the kid a brat as well as an Asperger's sufferer. But, mom has many of the same characteristics herself, also throwing tantrums if she doesn't get her way (you will often notice some genetics at play between the Asperger's child/parents). In that case, if I were the father, I would have been out of that house faster than you could blink.

It's my opinion that people need to be more careful with whom they breed. If your potential mate has emotional issues or if mental problems run in the family, you might NOT want to have kids. Just saying...

That probably explains why the father and brother got the hell out of Dodge. And the mother probably upheld the little lunatic. I guess the son threw all of that right back in her face. Pardon the pun

Abundant wisdom in this post.

Mr Lanza paid $200,000.00 per year (one fifth of a million dollars annually!) to Mrs Lanza.

She obviously could have paid for full time live in professional care for the screwed up son -- plus provided him safe, supervised outings and at home tutoring -- rather than just "keeping" him in a room playing computer games.

Dad probably did all he could, and self-preservation kicked in. Plus, he had another son whose safety and well-being he had to place at a priority.

Re: Do You Think Adam Lanza's Father And Brother Were Right?
You are posing a question for which, as of right now, at least, nobody knows what the situation really was.

There are always 2 sides to every story..so who knows what all dynamics came into play here. I do think a somewhat more clear picture will come out in the coming weeks however as more friends and family, etc. agree to be interviewed.

There is definitely something odd about the fact that the older brother had not seen Adam in (I think it was said 2 years??) that is definitely a sign that something was off in the family relationship. That is not normal. unless he was out of the country or something, which I don' think he was.
So there is more to be revealed.

You can damn sure bet that if I were paying somebody two hundred thousand dollars a year, I sure wouldn't call that "abandoning" them.

He shelled out more than enough each year to provide for the woman and the son, even with his extraordinary care needs.

Sometimes when you are abandoned it is not about the money.

I think they were both fucking freaks and it's just ashamed, after the little monster freak shot his mommy monster freak in the head 4 times, she didn't have a hand grenade booby-trap go off by her bed to kill the little pointy-chinned, ugly fucker.

And yes, Asperger kids can be mean, crazy sons-of-bitches..the kinda person you get nervous around if there's a hammer in the room. I can't believe she taught that demon-possessed little fuck how to use her guns.
