Some thoughts on the shooting
I haven't watched a single second of any mainstream news about the shooting last week. I'm afraid the scenes of the parents and children would send me over a cliff in into a mood that I have no business experiencing.

But, doing what I do and reading and listening to the information sources that I do, I know that once again the American leftist culture is forcing us to collectively look at the wrong reasons for the problem and as such we will never be able to come to grips with it much less find a real solution.

What do the public shootings years have in common?

They were all done by young white males who were from upper middle class families. The problem is not guns; that's the easy shiny thing that the liberals flash in front of us so that we don't look at their failed political agenda.

The problem in America today is how we have treated white boys for the last decade or longer. It all has at it's root the unrelenting liberal political agenda.

Boys have been pushed out of the two most important activities: school and sports. In an all out effort to convince girls that they can do everything that boys can, schools have ignored the natural needs and learning traits of boys and have forced them to learn like girls.

Fewer boys are going to college in part because they are being pushed out by a feminist agenda in education. We have rushed to dilute the energetic aspects of the male species by drugging them as children, misdiagnosing them as having a problem when in fact they are acting perfectly normally and feminizing them at every turn.

We have allowed our young boys to play violent murdering video games. These are the same types of games that the military uses to train soldiers to kill. Many of them are the exact same games. But they are being played by very young kids in dark rooms all over the country.

You want to ban something, ban those. We have overlooked the devstating effects on all children of all races of both genders of not having a father in the house. We have driven familes apart with television instead of relating to parents.

And, we have not helped boys with any mental illness they have. We have simply called it a learning disabilty and shoved drug after drug after drug upon them. Then we act surprised when they go insane.

We have hyperventilated endlessly over girls and their eating disorders, their image issues, self esteem, sex and on and on and on.

But we have mostly ignored the mental challenges of being an adolecent boy in today's society.

Until we get rid of the root cause of the real problem, the issues will not ever end only get worse.

Just a few cents worth of thoughts.

Re: Some thoughts on the shooting
Craig Bannister has some similar thoughts:

The problem of mass violence in the U.S. is more a reflection of contempt for the sanctity of human life than of a love for gun ownership.

In a society that reveres human life, gun ownership isn't a chronic problem. People who genuinely believe in the sanctity of human life won't take another life - by gun or any other means - unless it is absolutely necessary.

In a society that condones, funds, and promotes abortion and excuses euthanasia, human life is cheap.

In a society that believes that a woman has the power to change the child growing inside her into an inanimate blob of tissue simply by decreeing that it is so, human life is something that can be dismissed by mere whim.

Then, there's the pervasive, gratuitous violence of today's entertainment and video games desensitizing America's children (and adults) to the wanton, wholesale destruction of human life.

And then there's this. The total lack of respect for human life by the very people that have taken control of the schools, the government, have the very same blood on their hands.

This is the exact sort of games our children play - and at a young age we are allowing them to killer children by allowing them to play realistic games that simulate what this person went through.

Have we no shame? We are exactly like the terrorist shits that strap a bomb onto children only we do through a video console.

'Did we just kill a kid?': The moment drone operator who assassinated Afghans with the push of a button on a computer in the U.S. realized he had vaporized a child... and could not go on

A former U.S. drone operator has opened up about the toll of killing scores of innocent people by pressing a button from a control room in New Mexico.

'I felt disconnected from humanity for almost a week,' he said.
But it was an incident when a Predator drone was circling above a flat-roofed house made of mud in Afghanistan, more than 6,250 miles away, that really sticks in his mind.

Horrific: 'I saw men, women and children die,' said Brandon Bryant.

The pilot sitting next to him pressed the trigger on a joystick, causing the drone to launch a Hellfire missile. There were 16 seconds left until impact.

But when it was down to three seconds, a child suddenly walked around the corner.

The next thing he saw was a flash on the screen - the explosion. The building collapsed, and the child disappeared.

Bryant had a sick feeling in his stomach, he told the website.

'Did we just kill a kid?' he asked the pilot next to him.

'Yeah, I guess that was a kid,' the man replied.

And lets not forget the horrific noise that passes for music about raping, killing and other violent acts.

We've done this to ourselves and now we're going to lose major parts of our rights, our freedoms because we let these people to it to us.

Re: Some thoughts on the shooting
If we could pin it to mind control of these kids, then yeah, I could agree. But this is a systemic problem with the entire system that we have ourselves allowed to happen.

I have a sick feeling that this is one of the end results from the touchy feely political correctness that has been shoved down our throats.

Look, the kids are forbidden from activities like dodgeball and the like where they can feel the pain of adversity. We don't let them skin their knees, fall down, play sports that aren't politically correct.

And yet we let them rack up staggering body counts in video games and let them act like little adults with a full say in how they are raised and then we actually act surprised when some of them grasp the nearest weapon and slaughter other humans.

Let them get smacked in the face during a game of dodgeball a few times and they'll know that violence hurts.
