Interesting that you say that, because I was just searching to see if there was a Fort Collins (with the earlier Fort Clinton bit) and in Colorado there is an OLD TOWN, FORT COLLINS.

So the map source clearly seem to be New York city. Red Hook, Cobble Hill and Fort Clinton all are in some proximity to each other in New York City. Both fort Clinton and Castle Clinton are on Manhattan Island, Red Hook and Cobble hill are across the water in Brooklyn. There is a bar called the Narrows that is very close to Cobble Hill (curiously enough at 1037 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY).

I don't know that their is any significance from these locations past the point that the map creator used New York as a source. Sandy Hook does seem to be unusual as it is well south in NJ. And the street layout doesn't seem to match at all.

This is absolutely unfucking believeable INSANE.

Hi everyone. I'm new around here, so forgive me if I do something wrong. =\

I'm from Connecticut; not Newtown specifically, but I've been there enough times to know that, aside from I-84, the main thoroughfare in Newtown is Route 25. I can't quite tell, but it seems as though the interstate going off the right side of the map under the legend says 25 (it could say 15, I just can't make it out). Could be nothing, but it might be something.

When the movie DKR came out there was a lot of talk about the plot. I for one have studed batman for years and have the black and whites from the 30's on DVD.

People speculated that NOLAN was in the know about what was to come and the debate was, either he was going to expose the eilites plan in the movie or he was promoting it.

That is still the argument.

It really depends how you look at it.

A key scene for me is when "Blake" (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) has to deal with the police & military on the bridge at the end. That scene speaks VOLUMES about the stand off we are dealing with and will face.

That scene ends with him losing complete faith in the system and what his badge supposedly stood for.

Now that scene and a few others, make me think NOLAN was trying to expose the system. Who knows.

SIDENOTE -- There is left over footage that did NOT make it to the DVD. The movie was exactly 2:45 (Or whatever the IMAX Time allows) As it was exact, that means they cut scenes in order for it to fit the alotted time.

There are a few scenes you can tell were cut, including Bane and Batmans first Fight Scene. Some Diehard fans were very pissed about this and now with the DVD out, we will not see or know about those left over scenes, which may have been cut for a reason IE: Stanley Kubrick

Was it intended to be a map of events or has it become a map of events? Somehow I think that the gamers who think they control our destiny want this to play out as an evil game. Someone did a YouTube video about the key lines, when I google "ley lines" in the search with my state Louisiana, it showed poverty point, I look at pictures of this place and it look fimilier to one of the head plaques in lil Wayne's viddy my hoomies still (misspelled for posting purpose) that video has spirals with I (a heart, not spelled) <3 NY <- the "Y" in spray painted with an "O" as in New Orleans! The dark night has a collapse if football field, player in black & yellow (gold) <- also a song with lil Wayne lyrics and New Orleans saints team colors. "Ward" written on back if football jersey. Ward as in 9th ward, lil Wayne grew up on 9th ward (I forget street name exactly) the name of song when sang fast spuds like "my home is still" like a play on words. Let's not forget all the Madrid grad symbolism (beads mask, fancy dinners, carnival..... And the part that stumps me the most! All news reports measure sinkholes (Louisiana or any other location of new sinkholes) in FOOTBALL FIELDS! I just wanted to point this out and mention that some of the skylines in the music video, I'm unable to recognize. I've never seen the movie so if anyone else takes notice that would be awesome! There's more to the movie and video then meets the eye like the "88" on the other rapper "football" shirt. And "86" on jersey in movie. Thanks for considering. Everyone brings such good points! Yeah, i am also leaning towards him trying to out the information. Even though TDKR is super violent, imo, there were too many scenes with an underlying positive message.

You're all missing a very important point. What other mega successful film has Nolan done?

Sandy Hook as well as who knows how many other ideas planted in that film are INCEPTION.

This is all surface distractions for something else.

What if this "map" actually triggered Sandy Hook? What if the shooter (wasnt he authistic?) felt he had to do this, according to this map in order to whatsoever?
