Re: Adam Lanza pituitary tumor theory,
mm, it's like there's some condition affecting the shape and formation of facial features, not sure it's pituitary though.

I'm mostly going on "man, that dude looks funny". Acts weird, looks funny. Whatever it is, he dresses like he is cold all the time. So add that to the symptom mix.

Acro can make you go completely batshit, apparently:

There are few case reports of the presence of auditory and visual hallucinations, and delusions in patients with acromegaly. We report a patient with acromegaly who had psychotic symptoms including Schneiderian first-rank symptoms

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

First-rank symptoms in schizophrenia
Audible thoughts (thought echo)
Voices heard arguing
Voices heard commenting on one's actions
Somatic/thought passivity experiences (delusions of control)
Thought withdrawal
Thought insertion - Thoughts are ascribed to other people who intrude their thoughts upon the patient
Thought broadcasting (also called thought diffusion)
Delusional perception (i.e. taking a normal sensory perception to mean a bizarre situation such as taking seeing an aeroplane as indicating the patient should be the next president)

Nothing says "psycho killer" like voices in your head, telling you what to do. And the headaches won't stop...

Parents seeking help for their kid with pituitary tumor-(this is just a vague theory, I welcome all debunking)

"At age 13 I noticed a signifigant change in my son. His processing skills were slower and his reasoning skills were all but there. While I know and have dealt with many teens ( typical and nontypical) the change I saw in him was tremendous. I went to the family doctor who of course suggested ADHD and sent us to the local child psychiatrist. We did not make it there due to a very violent outburst that landed our son in a psychiatric hospital for a week. Again I told them of the severe change in his personality, processing skills and reasoning...not to mention by this time decision making. Long story short after many arrests....counseling sessions and even residential treatment. We begged for an MRI which did finally show a 16 mm pituitary adnoma"
