unless they've been hit over the head they know enough to reunite children with their parents

people are traumatized during war time, after terrible car crashes, and yet everyone seems to know what to do immediately: call the ambulance, call the family, call authorities

the way I've been taught, when you see a child who is lost you ask them

a)if they know their parents number

b) if they know their address

c) and if not, take them to a police station until their parents can be found

you do not take them into your home or into your car, unless it is freezing outside, there is a fire or other disaster

these adults being discussed are all professionals, from Rosen to the bus driver. Bus drivers especially have been trained how to handle emergencies...especially given that Connecticut is one of the most lawsuit happy states and the last thing you want is to give parents any cause for a complaint
