I'm not really sure anyone here is qualified to say whether or not video games can have such a psychological effect on a human being considering the number of controls, nature of the individuals tested, without looking conclusively at a huge range of factors that could determine whether or not an individual is prone to violence from video games. In my opinion, desensitization to the horror of murder may influence people to be less apathetic to a living human being.
