I know an 8 year old can't go buy assassin's creed but a parent or older sibling can. I have a few friends who I argue with regarding the video game stuff. You can't honestly say that young kids are not influnced or at the least, desensitized by the violence. Guns aren't the problem. People use the guns to commit acts of violence. People also use other weapons to do the same thing - and it works. We need to look at society, look at the violence to which our young are exposed. Lets reexamine that. Bet hell is raised if Video games get pulled from shevles, and kids are forced to play outdoors and learn to interact with others, learn to stand up for themselves and others by using their mind, words, and if need be - get in a good old fashioned fist fight. *The more I know, the less I understand.
