Anonymous Coward User ID: 1667343 United States 12/19/2012 05:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah I did. Its a ROCK of DOOM alright. Seen em before in the deserts of Australia. Aboriginals wont touch em. The fact you SMASHED it means you are actually quite FUCKED now..UNLESS you give it some blood to appease it. SERIOUS. THATS why ya got the urge to bleed on it..its your guide or spirit or whatever..TELLING you..that if you DONT bleed on it..you are quite screwed. Links to information regarding aborigines and rocks of doom or you stink. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 24908410 United States 12/19/2012 05:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Give it some blood...cant hurt to try. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 16465717 Worse case is some rock demon is summoned and tears ya to bits and proceeds to unleash the dec 21 curse on the world..OR..some other being appears and gives you godlike powers to do as you wish..OR..nothing happens. Have a few bowls and go for it. so your saying do it for science? Yeah..have camera ready..ONCE in a lifetime OP here dude. HOOK IN!!! ok! heres the deal ill make with you GLP. i will do this for SCIENCE! on december 20th 2012 at 10pm EST. in the meantime i will try to aquire the other half of the rock as well, but with or without the other half of the rock, shits going down on thursday night. my question to you GLP how would i do a live stream? cant exactly do SCIENCE with a possible artifact and risk the video being destroyed. Don't bleed on it that is very bad thing to do. If something is giving you urges to bleed on it then this is a very bad signal. Shitbirds can and will send you thoughts dont you know? Notice all the loonies in the the news lately? The life of flesh is in the blood. Blood sacrifices were abolished with Christ having paid the price for one and all times. I'd be more inclined to piss on the damn thing. But instead don't even do that but throw it out in the trash and get rid of it. Seriously. |

The Sonic Dreamer User ID: 19453308 United States 12/19/2012 06:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Measure the density of it OP - i do this for all finds. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30346808 Weigh it and then measure the water displacement of it. Look online for materials of similar values. I found a hunk of hematite carved into a bell shape buried deep in a stream - it was small...fitting into my small hands easy but weighed a kilo! Smokey quartz is a powerful crystal - that's probably why you feel giddy, nausea and headachey from being so close to it. Best to wrap it up in cloths and store it in a room no-one spends much time in - definately NOT your bedroom! It's a lovely looking rock - i fekin' love minerals!! Shame you broke it tho'. Would be great to see the other piece - if you manage to get it from your friend - to see the overall shape and size. I'd keep it if i were you! :-) Do you regularly hunt for minerals/crystals/stones? Can you give me advice on how to, and where to, hunt for stones? Is there a term used for mineral hunting? I mean, for example: There is a specific term used to describe the act of looking at colorful autumn leaves, traveling to go experience New England in the Fall, etc....it is "LEAF PEEPING." Another example would be when you go out into nature with the intention of finding mushrooms, it is called "MUSHROOM HUNTING." This post has actually piqued my interest and has gotten me interested in going out to scour nature for some minerals/quartz/flint/crystals/stones! In the very rudimentary searches I have done online since last night, the best I can come up with is: 1. Go to former quarry sites in Connecticut, but to legally do so, one must apply for a permit with the state Dept. of Environmental Protection (DEP) 2.Go out in the woods and search by creeks (either with running water, or dried up creeks and streams.) *make sure it is not private land* There is a small creek or stream every other acre in southwestern Connecticut, so that is a good thing! I remember as a child, finding real flint arrowheads in the woods. Sometimes I found them while digging for worms and nightcrawlers to use as bait for fishing. I seem to remember finding so many arrowheads, so often, that I stopped keeping them...I would notice one and pick it up to examine it, and then put it back. I gotta go check out some of those spots! Currently working on: Bach: Invention No. 1 Joplin: Maple Leaf Rag Mendelssohn: Tarantella Op.102 no.3 Mendelssohn: Venetian Boat Song Op. 19 no. 6 (both from 'Songs Without Words') |

Ok, so you wanna be a rock hound. good spots are quarrys and stream beds, anywhere theres bedrock exposed. a lot of waterfalls are good spots, as are mountian streams, stay away from lowlands cuse the good shits under tons of dirt. i dont often hunt becuse it can, and does get hazardous if your doing it right, and if your in a spot where theres no danger of rock falls, or cliffs, or sliping on slick bedrock exposed by a stream, you aint doing it right. headgear is a must if you want to do it serriously, i don, i just put around old stream beds, but i still have some tough boots so i dont break an ankle on rocks. You could ask questions and then put your dousing rods out and get answers. Swing out means yes, Come closer means no. Smash like drumsticks on the rock means fuck off or I'll fry your bed tonight with age old magic of the blood kind. Quoting: WindyMind and...what if it absolutely destroys the dousing rod *well i used a pendulum and it broke the wire. Chaos breeds order breeds Chaos. |

The Sonic Dreamer User ID: 19453308 United States 12/20/2012 02:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had a large crystal that wasn't pretty but it sent healing energy into the earth. A friend of mine lost her mind and chopped it to pieces to sell at a Grateful Dead concert. It was a nice rock, not a pretty rock but it was doing good things for the earth and now a bunch of deadheads have my traumatized chopped up rock. Can you imagine the horror of this? It was a good rock, I loved it to bits. Quoting: WindyMind so...what you are saying is, you chopped it to bits?
