Get a smaller pipe. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1713922 Or quit. Quitting is even cheaper than smoking responsibly. Be ready for weird dreams. And start working out. Good Luck! Yes its the quitting part that Im having a problem with. I smoke so much I dont even get high anymore, its a real fuckin problem |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 8625086 12/18/2012 01:18 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It was hard when I quit. It wasn't totally a choice either, just ran out of supply and had few friends. I think it took a few months to not constantly want it. I remember having a lot of trouble sleeping and having more pain after I quit. I was kinda using it as a pain killer because I had some major back problems for awhile. |

After the first week it's all mental, stay strong and fight the urges . Try to focus on something New .Work out so you can get the THC out of your body and drink lots if water . Try searching up ways to clean out your system as well . Best of luck to you. My friend is 15 months clean now; me and him would smoke hella weed everyday for about 2-3 years . It's not hard to quit , you just need to overcome the need . You might feel the need for the first few days and possibly weeks but it will go away eventually . Goin cold turky can be challenging but it's all mental in the end . Good luck |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26678936 busy yourself. if you are spiraling into debt....because of pot...its time to stop. you CAN stop... it might not be FUN for the first week...but every time you get the INTENSE urge to smoke, for whatever reason, do something else until the feeling passes...and KNOW that it will. because it always does. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 26626393 12/18/2012 01:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just stop. The side affects go away after 2 - 4 weeks. The more you sweat, the more water you drink and the healthier you eat the faster this will happen. The best thing to do is stay busy and don't hang out with friends who smoke. Experts claim the best way to not have Marijuana withdrawal is to take constant smoke/tolerance breaks. Quitting smoking pot is a mind game... If you want to stop smoking you won't have withdrawal... The way you will feel after 2 weeks of not smoking will REALLY impress you. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 29680874 12/18/2012 02:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is my first day without a pipe, I'm handling it better than yesterday (was climbing the fucking walls, had to ask a friend for a wee bit to calm me down) I gave up because the fuckhead down the street informed on me & my friend, the popo came & took my stash (about 5 oz.) & pulled up my very small plants (just starting the growing season here) The best way is to keep busy. Do you work? Have anything to do? Another way is to go on a road trip, or some other kind of trip. Maybe a bus/train ride to another town. Got any (non-smoking) friends or family that own a farm or rural property? A good one to enforce stopping is jail, but that's got it's disadvantages. Over time, the cravings decrease, a bit! I think today is easier because I've been busy running around doing a project I'm involved with. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 5682293 12/18/2012 03:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi, I recently quit smoking pot by replacing it for weed-oil drops. It'll give you a little buzz everytime you use it (you drip the oil underneath your tongue), but it is not really getting high. It will calm your system, and still is not cold turkey. By not smoking, but still using cannoids your body can adjust and you won't be climbing the walls. After I finished the little bottle of oil, I ordered one more and after finishing that one, I stopped completely. Most be honest though, still missing getting high every once in a while, but I'm also relieved that I am no longer lying or sneaking out for some pot and then trying to hide the red eyes and stuff. First kill the habit of smoking it, then let your body get used to small doses of cannabis, then quit and try and remember all the things you hate about using pot: secrecy, money spending, urge to go out and get some even if you know you shouldnt. Stay in control, you don't want to be a victim of your own weaknesses right? Had a hard time myself doing it, and smoked for over fifteen years. It is not the cannabis that is bad, it is the fact that you act like a junky. The cannabis, especially in oil!! is good for your system. By the way, i'm in chronic pain and the pot felt like medecine. It is medecine actually, but not when you smoke it. Only when used as oil. However, after stopping smoking it, I noticed that the oil does relax me but does nothing for the pain. Good luck quitting being a junky. Maybe in the future you will achieve to be a nonfrequent user. It's not the drugs that is bad, it's you being slave to your habit. Change that, and you'll feel better. Shit, long story... |
