Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), the second largest public landlord in North America with 58,000 units.
Yes big brother will house you...
Although it is estimated that 70,000 low income individuals and families are on the waiting list for affordable housing in Toronto, the TCHC is sitting with 1,422 vacant units, an increase of 14% from last year. This in itself is shocking.

How fucking stupid are we? Nobody has the power or wisdom to step up and match those 1422 vacant units with that list of 70K eligible? Same issues down here. Maybe our political divisions are too big? In a small town it takes just one determined person to push things. Perhaps a complete de-centralization of 90% of regulations would ease the loggerhead?
