Two nights ago I got a phonecall from my little brother He asked if I was out driving, I wasn't but he was. He described to me this exact light/anamoly to the Southwest. We live in North Georgia USA. Just felt the need to share that. Goodnight

oh there's a Hopi prophecy about a night when the sky turns red. Apparently after this people have one year to return to nature and the spirit -i.e. go and live in the wilderness and try to relate to the spirts of plants animals etc. Survivalism isn't enough the prophecy says.

After that it's gonna get dangerous in the city areas - armed gangs, cannibalism etc...natural disasters etc...

at least that's the prophecy i read more or less...

That photo was apparently taken in 2011, but unless those lights in WA were bushfires what else could it possibly be. Strange indeed.

I seen something very similar one night when i lived near a large refinery.

They were having a large burn off of gas or whatever. Looked a lot like this. Also in low light cameras do weird things like pulse low level light sources.

It would be intersting to here if the pulsing occured to the naked eye of the witness or if it was just apparent on the camera.

But yeah - i saw somethin just like this one night - but after pointing it out to a mate he remided me that the refinery was in that direction, and said it can look like that when there is a big burn off.

When posting a vid can we have a precis of it.At this time of year lets think of those who can't be arsed.

Thats called a refinery gas flare with a hazy skyline...we have them here all the time

Bush fire would be my guess. OR it could be a UFO, if I remember correctly thats exactly what Travis Walton and his freinds saw in the woods before they saw the ufo.

first thing I thought of before I read anything was that it was a bushfire, so confident, I stopped watching after 10 secs into watching the reflective light on the cloud... being an Aussie this is easy to know. who ever posted this and wants NASA to verify is a tool.

huh... saw the exact same thing only much brighter this morning ( 18-12-12 ) from 2am - 4am before i had to leave for a flight.

I see these lights regularly from where i am located in the area.

Yes it is near a lot of refineries.

Second, they were pommy geezers talking. Probably fresh off the boat. There's plenty of pommies in that area, it's a place the poorer pommy immigrants settle in as they can't afford Perth property.

They weren't locals, hence it was all 'mysterious' to them, but I can assure you there is tens of thousands of people around 50kms south of Perth - but why no other reports or videos?

Simple, because it nothing out of the ordinary, unfortunately.
